Emily is a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist who strives to share her knowledge, experience, and love of Occupational Therapy with everyone she meets. Emily’s ‘OT brain’ is rarely off. She wants to share her knowledge and passions with other OTs and healthcare professionals.

Emily has experience in early intervention, school, outpatient pediatric settings, and academia. Emily has worked with sensory integration, reflex integration, feeding, teletherapy, Handwriting Without Tears programs, Applied Behavior Analysis, trauma informed care, and more to best support a child’s progress towards their goals.

Emily finds most meaning in working with children and their caregivers in the child’s natural environment to promote skill learning and generalization. Emily loves watching children learn new skills and become independent in their daily lives. She works with each child’s unique interests and abilities to best support their progress and independence. Emily knows the importance of having family engagement throughout a child’s plan of care to make sure strategies are applicable and doable in the home setting.

Emily received her Bachelor’s degrees in Interdisciplinary Health Services and Autism Behavioral Studies from Saint Joseph’s University. She graduated from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with her Master’s of Occupational Therapy with honors and the Occupational Therapy Faculty Award. Emily completed independent studies in the development of a pediatric pro bono clinic and in research on the implementation of support groups for parents of children with disabilities. 

Emily loves teaching and learning. Emily loves being a lifelong learner. She strives to continue to learn new skills and provide the most effective and evidence-based OT practice for her clients. She is an adjunct professor in an OT Master’s program and loves to make lectures engaging and interactive. She finds such joy in watching the future of the OT profession grow in their skill and confidence.

Emily Marie OT was created to educate and empower children, families, and Pediatric Occupational Therapists to become their best selves. Through private sessions, practitioner templates, educational content, intensive learning opportunities, and mentorship options, Emily provides you with the skills and resources to be a confident in your daily endeavors.
